ANSWER: Dentist. Romero claimed he wanted to become a dentist in his St. Helena’s High School yearbook and dreamed of attending Villanova University.

ANSWER: Tales of Hoffmann, a British technicolor comic opera, released in 1951, inspired Romero to become a filmmaker.

ANSWER: Romero won a Future Scientists of America award for “A Study of the Earth,” a documentary on geology he made while at Suffield Academy, 1956–1957.

ANSWER: Night of the Living Dead premiered on October 1, 1968 at the Fulton Theater in Pittsburgh, PA.
